Apple's 27 notes describe Hi-Res Lossless audio and AutoMix transitions in Apple Music, video podcasts in a redesigned Podcasts app and AirPlay improvements. They also list transcribed audio when captions are absent, Dynamic Text in supported apps and individual app blocking. These are documented features, not our own quality or speed measurements.

Apple dates 27.2 to October 26, 2026. Notes add FaceTime links, external interpreting and captioning services, photo selection from iPhone without sharing the whole library and screen saver category shuffling. Find My can locate second-generation or later Siri Remote; this does not give every remote the newest model's precision or sound features.

The October 13 hardware announcement describes Siri AI as a 27.2 beta, with home-account, Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone or iPad, supported language and region, and usage-limit requirements. The new device had availability announced for November 13, separate from the system release. That plan is not treated as verified delivery and does not add catalogue hardware.
