Announcement and availability

What changes and who it is for
It is the update of the original Vision Pro from 2024, not a "Vision Pro 2": the same product with the M5 chip replacing the M2. According to Apple it renders 10% more pixels on the custom micro-OLED displays, can raise the refresh rate up to 120Hz, runs system AI features up to 50% faster, and the battery lasts up to two and a half hours of general use. It ships with the new, more comfortable Dual Knit Band with a tungsten counterweight. Apple Newsroom
Before choosing
The external battery still gives about 2.5 hours of general use (3 hours of video); Apple recommends connecting it to power for long sessions. The Dual Knit Band is also sold separately (US$99) and fits the 2024 Vision Pro. Users who wear glasses need ZEISS optical inserts, sold separately.
