ImageWriter 15-inch (1984)
The 15-inch variant documented by Apple in 1984: QuickDraw printing, serial connection and 144 dpi maximum.

Illustrative recreation, not a photograph or evidence of a surviving unit. Informed by original documentation and a contextual visual reference; colors and schematic marks do not establish finishes, controls or internal configuration. A permitted photograph of the correct model will replace it when available. Broad form uses as contextual reference the 15-inch ImageWriter at front right in a museum photo by Marcin Wichary. Its right edge is cropped: controls, connectors and unseen details are omitted. Not an exact reconstruction.

Documentary context
Apple Support and TIL 11051 place the 15-inch ImageWriter in April 1984. It is a specific variant, not an alternative name for every ImageWriter. Apple’s date document gives approximate introductions, not proof of a particular sale day.
Architecture and connections
The technical sheet lists QuickDraw, serial connection and 144 dpi maximum. It gives 26.4 pounds and dimensions of 5.6 inches high,22 wide and 11.8 deep. Exterior width is not treated as usable paper width.
Performance and limits
Apple’s Technical Procedures contain a separate 15-inch section and refer to it for platen, mechanical assembly andcarriage motor removal. This establishes service differences within the family, not universal accessories. A photo of the narrow version does not establish this variant.
