Apple announced the iMac with M6 on October 27, 2026, with pre-orders from October 28 and customer arrivals and store availability announced from November 6. That plan is not treated as proof of delivery. The $1499 US base had a ten-core CPU and GPU; the $1699 base had a twelve-core CPU and GPU. Both included 16 GB unified memory and a 256 GB SSD. Apple lists a Dual 16-core Neural Engine and up to 170 GB/s memory bandwidth.

Display and connections
The display sold as 24 inches retained an actual 23.5-inch diagonal, 4480 × 2520 pixels, 500 nits, P3 and True Tone. The camera was 12MP Center Stage with Desk View. The Apple N1 wireless chip brought Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. The ten-core base had two ports supporting Thunderbolt 4/USB 4; the twelve-core base had four Thunderbolt 4 ports. The launch announcement presented macOS 27 Golden Gate. Apple performance comparisons are not reproduced as independent results.
Options and recreation
Optional memory reached 24 GB on ten cores and 32 GB on twelve; optional SSD reached 1 and 2 TB respectively. Nano-texture was optional only on twelve cores. The 2.5 Gb Ethernet allocation is omitted because the technical page and an announcement footnote disagree about its availability on the lower base. The image is an illustrated recreation of the blue exterior, not a photograph or proof of chip, ports or installed glass.
