Display and connections
The design retained an aluminum-and-glass front. The bases shared 6 MB L2 cache, a 1066 MHz bus, an official 4 GB RAM maximum, slot-loading 8x SuperDrive, iSight and Mini-DVI. They included three USB 2.0 ports on the computer and two on the keyboard, FireWire 400 and 800, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and draft-802.11n-based AirPort Extreme. Apple listed Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, iLife ’08, Apple Keyboard, Mighty Mouse and Apple Remote.
Design and illustration
The glossy LCD offered 1920 × 1200 pixels. The body measured 52.0 × 56.9 × 20.7 cm, height by width by depth, and weighed 11.5 kg depending on configuration. Optional storage reached 1 TB; the base remained 320 GB. The image is an illustrated front-view recreation, not a photograph: active-screen and device proportions follow Apple, with a neutral screen.
