From wheel to touch
The Click Wheel gave way to a Multi-Touch interface: tapping or swiping browsed songs, artists and playlists. The aluminum and glass enclosure included a clip for attaching it to clothing. Users could rotate the screen orientation with two fingers and switch to shuffle playback by shaking the player.
Features and identification
It retained FM radio with live pause, alongside Genius Mixes, playlist editing and a pedometer. Apple advertised up to 24 hours of music per charge, a historical estimate that does not guarantee current battery endurance. Apple identifies it as A1366, with 8 or 16 GB and a Multi-Touch display. It required iTunes 10 and USB 2.0. The photo shows a blue example displaying its clock, not an Apple Watch or a launch image.
