LaserWriter IISC (1988)
A 1988 QuickDraw laser printer with SCSI, 1 MB RAM and 300 dpi; not a PostScript LaserWriter II.

Illustrative recreation, not a photograph or evidence of a surviving unit. Broad exterior form is informed by the original model manual illustration; colors and schematic marks do not establish finishes, controls or internal configuration. A permitted photograph of the correct model will replace it when available. Schematic shared LaserWriter II case, not identification of the variant. The manual covers SC/NT/NTX/IIf/IIg and states parts are compatible except I/O-board components; those boards and connections are omitted.

Documentary context
Apple Support and TIL 11051 place the IISC in 1988. The family manual also covers NT, NTX, IIf and IIg, but they are not interchangeable. Its date table says July 1990 for SC/NT/NTX, conflicting with the other two originals; no unproven region or milestone is invented to reconcile them.
Architecture and connections
The IISC uses QuickDraw, a 7.45 MHz Motorola 68000 and 1 MB RAM. Its data connection is SCSI, not the NT models’ LocalTalk. The manual also mentions ADB; it is not treated as an equivalent SCSI printing interface.
Performance and limits
The family’s Canon SX engine offers 300 dpi. The manual gives 8 pages per minute except Legal paper, rated at 7, with actual performance depending on the application. The IISC test contains only vertical lines and requires SCSI address 7 before power-on.
