PostScript and selectable resolutions
Apple’s archived specification places the LaserWriter Pro 810 in 1993. The service manual dated November that year describes PostScript Level 2 and HP LaserJet IIP emulation. Its table specifies up to 20 sheets per minute and selectable 300, 400, 600 and 800 dpi resolutions; these should not be reduced to one resolution or treated as a guaranteed speed for every job.
Controller, memory and network
Apple documents 8 to 32 MB RAM and LocalTalk, RS-232/RS-422 serial and Ethernet connections. The manual separates the controller, which interprets data and creates dot patterns, from the engine that prints them. Maximum memory is an expansion limit, not a verified configuration of the photographed unit.
Three trays and photograph
The manual warns that many drawings show two trays although Apple offered the Pro 810 with three; it does not document a commercial two-tray variant. Cfazzio’s photograph shows three and is identified as a LaserWriter 810. The original file is preserved under CC BY-SA 3.0, not presented as a launch photo or proof of working condition.
