Design and performance
Apple places its introduction in 1993. The May brochure describes 360 dpi in best mode, 180 dpi in fast mode and up to 1.5 pages per minute, depending on the image. It could operate horizontally or vertically.
Portability did not mean every accessory was built in: the automatic feeder for up to 50 sheets was optional.
Connection and requirements
The documentation requires distinguishing the cable's two ends. The historical sheet lists Centronics parallel; Apple technical article 12456 shows the printer's parallel connector and the Macintosh Mini DIN-8 serial connector. This distinction is not replaced with an assumed LocalTalk port.
The brochure's specifications page requires System 7.0.1 or later and recommends 4 MB RAM with System 7. This requirement belongs to the computer.
Options and photograph
The brochure documents a rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery and power adapter. The printer supported manual feeding and different papers, envelopes, labels and suitable transparencies.
