Power Macintosh 9600/350 (1997)
The Power Macintosh 9600/350 is a separate configuration in the 1997 9600 tower family. It has one PowerPC 604e at 350 MHz with an integrated FPU. Service Source distinguishes five configurations: 200, 200MP, 233, 300 and 350; these are not merged into one piece or simultaneous variants treated as predecessors. The plug-in processor card and removable side access panel support servicing and upgrades as described in the manual.

Configuration and architecture
The Power Macintosh 9600/350 is a separate configuration in the 1997 9600 tower family. It has one PowerPC 604e at 350 MHz with an integrated FPU. Service Source distinguishes five configurations: 200, 200MP, 233, 300 and 350; these are not merged into one piece or simultaneous variants treated as predecessors. The plug-in processor card and removable side access panel support servicing and upgrades as described in the manual.
Memory and video
The documented standard configuration has 64 MB DRAM, expandable to 768 MB, and 1 MB second-level cache. Twelve slots accept 168-pin, 5 V, 70 ns EDO or FPM DIMMs; the controller uses EDO as FPM. Pairs are not needed for operation, but interleaving requires matching modules in paired positions. The included PCI graphics card has 8 MB; the logic board has no built-in DB-15 output.
Drives and connections
The manual specifies a 4 GB SCSI disk, 24x CD-ROM and 1.4 MB SuperDrive. An integrated Iomega Zip drive is also documented for this configuration. There are six PCI slots, one occupied by the video card, plus two GeoPorts, ADB, external SCSI and 16-bit stereo sound. AAUI and 10BASE-T are alternatives: only one works at a time, with 10BASE-T taking priority if both are connected. Documented standard software is Mac OS 7.6.1; later versions listed by support are not treated as original equipment.
Sources and photograph
The sources need care: support gives a 9.7-inch width, while Service Source prints 8.8 inches (22.4 cm), with height and depth of 17.3 inches and approximately 35 lb varying with installed devices. The manual separates 390 W DC output excluding monitor, 560 W maximum continuous AC input and 700 W peak; these are not three measured consumption figures. Gona.eu's licensed photo shows a 9600/350.
