PowerBook Duo Dock Plus (1995)
The PowerBook Duo Dock Plus is a distinct 1995 expansion dock. Apple Service Source explicitly describes the same features as Duo Dock II, but without its FPU and cache. It is not merely a new name for Dock II: that hardware change merits its own page. The main processor belongs to the docked PowerBook Duo, not a standalone computer inside the dock.

Model and use
The PowerBook Duo Dock Plus is a distinct 1995 expansion dock. Apple Service Source explicitly describes the same features as Duo Dock II, but without its FPU and cache. It is not merely a new name for Dock II: that hardware change merits its own page. The main processor belongs to the docked PowerBook Duo, not a standalone computer inside the dock.
Memory and expansion
It retains 1 MB built-in VRAM with no additional socket, two NuBus slots, AAUI Ethernet, ADB, two serial ports, DB-15 video and HDI-30 SCSI. Apple 112177 confirms FPU "none" and L2 "none". The Dock II 's 33 MHz 68882 and 32 KB cache are not copied over. The manual's generic configuration ROM does not become a separate operating system for the dock.
Connections and peripherals
The motorised mechanism takes in and ejects the closed Duo through a 152-pin PDS connector. The manual documents an internal floppy drive, external display support and card expansion; Apple's table permits 640×480 at 16 bits and 1024×768 at 8 bits. SCSI devices and adapters depend on the system. A standard internal drive is not assigned to Plus merely because the manual describes one for original Dock and II.
Sources and image
Apple 112177 lists 87 W maximum, while Service Source rates the supply at 75 W continuous and 85 W surge; these figures are published in different contexts. Physical figures differ: the web sheet gives 5.1 × 12.3 × 16.3 inches and 13.5 pounds; the manual gives 6.22 × 12.75 × 16.37 inches and 15 pounds without a hard disk for II/Plus. The two sets remain separate. No unverified first-shipment day is stated. Own functional diagram, not a photograph or enclosure drawing.
