Launch and configurations

These configurations belong to one period; later silent upgrades are not mixed into them.
Evolution from January to July
It evolves from January 2005: base memory doubles from 256 to 512 MB while $499/$599 prices remain. AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth change from optional to included on the $599/$699 bases, remaining optional at $499. SuperDrive, formerly optional, now has its own $699 configuration. Tiger replaces preinstalled Panther; iLife 05 remains included. Radeon 9200 32 MB and 40/80 GB capacities are unchanged.
Features and photograph
RAM supports up to 1 GB. It includes one FireWire 400, two USB 2.0, 10/100 Ethernet, DVI with VGA adapter, speaker and headphone/line out; composite/S-Video needs an optional adapter. V.92 modem is listed as included on the $499 base, optional on the upper two. Display, keyboard and mouse are chosen separately. Combo reads DVDs and writes CDs, not DVDs. The April 2005 photo shows the pre-July G4 design, not this revision, CPU or RAM. It is not a launch photo or delivery evidence; the G4 overview stays intact.
