Marketing
The affordable Macintosh II: built-in video for a single display and one PDS slot, expandable to NuBus with Apple’s optional adapter, which also added the 68882 FPU. With launch prices of $3,770 and $4,570 in the US depending on configuration, it cost less than half of a IIci. (EveryMac.)
Flaws and fixes
Apple documents no model-specific defects in the sources consulted. Limits that do appear in its spec sheet: 2, 3 or 5 MB of standard RAM (1 MB soldered onboard), expandable to 65 MB using 4 30-pin SIMM slots (100 ns); 24- or 32-bit addressing; the built-in video uses main RAM.
