Launch

Marketing
The headline was the display: nearly 20 percent more area than Series 6 (and 50 percent more than Series 3) with borders of just 1.7 mm (40 percent thinner), while barely changing the case, which moved to 41 and 45 mm. The interface adapted with larger buttons and a full QWERTY keyboard with QuickPath. It was also the most durable Apple Watch to date: a more crack-resistant front crystal and the first IP6X dust rating, keeping WR50. Charging became 33 percent faster with the new USB-C magnetic cable. Five aluminum colors: midnight, starlight, green, blue and (PRODUCT)RED. Launch price from $399 (GPS) in the US. Flaws and fixes
Apple documents no model-specific defects in the sources consulted. Limits that do appear in its spec sheet: battery rated at about 18 hours by Apple; Blood Oxygen measurements are not for medical use; fast charging requires the included USB-C magnetic cable; maximum system version watchOS 26.x per EveryMac.
