How Apple presented it
ProMotion adjusted refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Apple emphasized lower Pencil latency, lamination, True Tone and P3 color. Storage: 64, 256 or 512 GB. Rear camera 12 MP f/1.8 with optical stabilization, 4K at 30 fps and a 7 MP front camera. Touch ID, four speakers and Smart Connector; Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard were separate purchases. Historical US starting price: $649 for Wi-Fi 64 GB. [pro17-launch, pro105-spec]
Documented issues
Weight: 469 g Wi-Fi or 477 g Cellular; size: 250.6 × 174.1 × 6.1 mm, not the 12.9-inch dimensions. The Verge questioned accessory-inclusive cost and hardware utility before iOS 11; a contemporary judgment, not a fault. No general screen failure is established in the cited sources. For absent charging, use Apple's cable, adapter, temperature and top-plus-Home restart guidance if unresponsive. The cited sources do not establish current availability of support, parts or free repair. Verified photo includes an optional Smart Keyboard. [pro105-spec, pro17-review, ipad-charge]
