What changes and who it is for
It is the second generation of Apple TV 4K, four years after the first one from 2017. It adds the A12 Bionic chip, high frame rate HDR with Dolby Vision (60 fps), HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 6, Thread and a redesigned Siri Remote with clickpad. It also introduced TV color calibration using the iPhone camera. This is the Apple TV 4K with the second-generation Siri Remote, not the 2022 model. Apple Newsroom
Before choosing
Watching 4K HDR requires a compatible 4K HDR TV and an HDMI cable, sold separately. High frame rate HDR requires content recorded or streamed at 60 fps. The Siri Remote charges over Lightning. Storage (32 or 64 GB) is not expandable and only holds apps and games: video plays via streaming. Apple · Specifications
